Education Commission
One of the main aims of FIMS is "to promote the study and development of Sports Medicine throughout the world". The Education Commission of FIMS shows this commitment to education in an undertaking of continuous development through FIMS’ Team Physician Courses. Currently there are two courses that FIMS offers: 1) FIMS Team Physician Development Course (TPDC), and 2) a recently developed FIMS Team Physician Advanced Course (TPAC). The TPDC is run over a few days at the continental , national or regional level. Local and international speakers are invited to take part in each course. How can you present a FIMS Team Physician Development Course (TPDC) in your region?
FIMS encourages its countries or regions to consider organizing a FIMS Team Physician Development Course. The goal of the FIMS Team Physician Development Course is to prepare physicians of any specialty to fulfil the basic fieldside medical needs of athletes.

1. A revised and updated 2nd Edition of the FIMS Team Physician Manual
2. Topic outlines to use as lecture handouts
3. PowerPoint slides of the outlines

What about the FIMS Team Physician Advanced Course (TPAC)?
The FIMS Team Physician Advanced Course (TPAC) has recently been developed and has been successfully offered at a number of FIMS Congresses including Oman (January 2004), and Beijing (June 2006).
