Editorial Policy

The International SportMed Journal (ISMJ) is an international, peer-reviewed journal that is published quarterly and only in electronic format. The journal publishes articles covering the full spectrum of sport and exercise medicine. The ISMJ welcomes submissions in English from all countries. It is the policy of the ISMJ to publish original research articles and review articles covering diagnostics, therapeutics and rehabilitation in healthy and physically challenged individuals of all ages and levels of sport and exercise participation. All submissions are peer reviewed by the Editors, members of the Editorial Board, and other international reviewers.

From time to time, the journal also publishes short articles that report on preliminary results of some new experimental work, new methods being used in testing, a clinical test or office procedure. All these submissions are also peer-reviewed.

Positions statements that are generated by the Scientific Commission of FIMS are also published in the ISMJ, as well as relevant Consensus Statements (e.g. from the IOC).

The ISMJ also welcomes Letters to the Editor, which may be submitted online via the web site, and summaries of recent conferences, highlighting key messages and comments.
